It has been forever since I have linked up for a Five for Friday post so I figured it was long overdue. So much has gone on this week and I thought this would be the easiest way to sum it all up. So here goes!
This week I have spent the whole week away from school and home and in South Alabama with the hubs for his graduation shindigs. It started off with a family day. This was the first time that I have ever seen him with his helicopter. I was so excited to go check it out and see what he has been up to for the past 2 years. We got to climb all around and everything. It was a blast!
Then it was time to head back and get all pampered for the ball that evening. I adore getting all dressed up and going to military balls. There's just something fun about getting all pampered and feeling like a princess for one night. So of course we went all out. I had to get my hair and nails done.
Then we were ready and we were off to the ball. Doesn't he look so handsome in his uniform!
At the ball I was totally surprised by an award for me! This was a ceremony for him, not for me. But I received the "Pushing Hubby Through" award and received my wings too! Such an amazing moment!
Thursday morning was graduation. The day that we have all been waiting for for the past two years. Danny is finally an aviator!!! So proud of him. I got to pin his wings on and yes, he had to get on one knee just so I could reach him. Love this man!
The weather has been so gorgeous here that we were even able to get a few rounds of Frisbee golf in. We played three days just this week! I am seriously considering getting a basket for our backyard. We are getting so addicted to Frisbee golf. Even Haylee plays and loves it! She is actually better than me but shhhhh don't tell her that :)
Speaking of weather, I missed 3 snow days back home!!! These were our first three snow days of the year and I missed them! I am so upset that I was not there. I mean seriously, the snow couldn't wait until I was home?!?!?! I'm just hoping the roads are better by Sunday so I can drive back. My friends have told me that we have 10 inches of snow! That is insane for south Kentucky! Here's a few pics that I
stole borrowed from my friends' Facebook pages.
Hope everyone had a great week! Happy weekend!!!
